Project Overview

Dunon Synergy Projects partnered with the Enugu State Ministry of Education to deliver the Ngwo Smart School, a landmark infrastructure project designed to foster a globally competitive and digitally literate workforce. Located in Umuase Ngwo, this facility represents a paradigm shift in rural education, moving beyond traditional classrooms to create a high-tech learning environment.

By integrating civil engineering with advanced ICT and renewable energy solutions, Dunon has created a sustainable campus that supports holistic skills development—ranging from vocational training and music to robotics and AI.

The Challenge

The core objective of this project was to bridge the educational gap between urban and rural communities. The client required a facility capable of hosting sophisticated technology—such as AI labs and digital boards—in a location that needed robust infrastructure to ensure consistent operation. Creating a “Smart School” required ensuring that advanced digital tools would not be hampered by power intermittency or structural limitations.

The Solution

Dunon Synergy Projects employed a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure the school’s long-term viability and technological capability:

  • ICT Infrastructure Integration: We established a robust digital backbone to support tech-driven learning tools, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, robotics labs, and digital smart boards.
  • Renewable Energy Power: To guarantee uninterrupted access to these digital resources, we integrated solar power solutions, ensuring the facility remains operational regardless of grid instability.
  • Civil Engineering & Hydro-Geology: The project utilized our civil engineering expertise for structural building and land cladding, supported by hydro-geological surveys to ensure site integrity.
  • Holistic Learning Design: The infrastructure was specifically designed to accommodate diverse curriculums, providing dedicated spaces for vocational skills, music, and technology.
